Cover artist: Marcia Stewart of RocknGoddess on Etsy. Collecting river stones becomes a vision to create spiritual art, goddess, and altar stones.Back in 2012, when my husband and I were living on the river, I had a vision inspired by nature to create spiritual, goddess, and altar stones to share peace, love, light, and blessings with the world. I started out as the Simplified Witch, the original goddess on stone artist, which has evolved into RocknGoddess which I feel is a more appropriate name for my art. Each piece contains a heart which represents Universal Love Energy. Creating spiritual art is also my way of sharing my late husband’s eternal love. Book Review – Feng Shui Plain and Simple: The Only Book You’ll Ever Need by Sarah Bartlett

Book Review
Feng Shui Plain and Simple
The Only Book You’ll Ever Need
by Sarah Bartlett

I love little books that present the subject matter in clear and concise form and engage the reader in a practical way so that you can use the information immediately. Feng Shui, pronounced “foong shway”, is one of those topics that has hoards of books available that often contain either too much or too little information. As the title of this little treasure suggests, this book holds the basics of Feng Shui and provides the “just right” amount of information to get you excited to start the transformation.

In these discordant times, we all are seeking ways to improve our lives and create sanctuary. The practice of Feng Shui has long been the panacea to stress, disharmonious environments and general chaotic energies in our surroundings. Ms. Bartlett provides in her Introduction a clear definition of what Feng Shui is and how it can be used depending on what your goal may be to bring healing and peace to any space…

….There are several different schools of Feng Shui thought. One, is based on a scientific and classical approach that uses astronomy, astrology and a powerful Chinese compass called a “Lo Pan”. Another concentrates solely on cures and enhancements, and a third is a blend of intuition and spiritual awareness. This book shows you how to try out some of the simpler principles of this highly organized system…..

Each chapter takes the reader through the why’s behind selecting to use Feng Shui in your space and the how’s to get started without needing to move doors, walls, sell or totally rearrange all of your belongs. The intention of Feng Shui is to tap into the flow of energy in a positive and supportive way in a proactive way that requires awareness of yourself, and your impact energetically on your surroundings. The additional component is that everything is created from energy, so those things we have as possessions also contribute to how we engage and interact with our surroundings.

The First Chapter takes you through the processes of Decluttering, Space-Clearing techniques and the principles of Yin Yang. Chi (energy) flows in accord with what contains and expresses its qualities and we are reminded that at its origins the Chi of the natural world was more important than that of the home. Of course, at the origins of this ancient practice, what was defined as “home” was organically more integrated into the natural world than what we live in today.

Chapter Two speaks to the origins and use of the Baqua, a prominent tool used in Feng Shui for assessing and mapping your space. The next chapters expand on the information you obtain in using the Baqua to assess and incorporate the Five elements. The Five Elements of Chinese use are slightly different than the traditional alchemical elements used in magickal workings. These are Fire-Earth-Metal-Water and Wood; each having their own particular attributes. There are quick lists and suggested cures and supports for each of the elements.

Chapter Seven brings it all together with information relating to each area of the home and simple fixes to bring a more harmonious flow of Chi into these areas. I particularly liked Chapter Eight and the charts to establish your elemental energy type based on your birthday. This may seem like a tangential piece, but the synthesis of all of the energies that permeate the home, inclusive of those who reside in that space is demonstrated to be an important piece of a (w)holistic puzzle.

I’ve long had an interest in Feng Shui and tried several applications based on books, online and more. But, this book truly lives up to its tile of being plain and simple, which is the perfect recipe for someone who doesn’t have a lot of extra time to spend in learning an Ancient discipline that is complex, nor the money to hire a professional. Kudos to Ms. Bartlett!

Inner Creates Outer

‘Inner creates outer’ is the only phrase my inner druid guides have repeated in my visions over many years. Usually they say nothing at all but simply stand waiting for me when I enter the spirit world, then silently lead me to a stone circle or nature sanctuary and let the transformative vision prepared for me unfold on its own. But this one phrase has been repeated at significant moments of budding awareness through all 38 years of my druid journey. Clearly, druids who remain silent 99% of the time want me to know this particular truth to my very core, inner creates outer. And whenever it’s whispered as a vision unfolds within my mind, I can feel this truth resonating through my heart and anchoring in there ever more deeply. A few words spoken in a surround of stillness carry great power!

But this teaching didn’t become real to me until I went to energy school 23 years ago. Our light-healing teacher kept saying how everyone’s own fear beliefs are created into their individual lives, most of those beliefs from past lives, completely unconscious, but repeated in the present time. He stressed the need to read shadow energies until we understood the belief our clients had once taken on. And then we drew this belief into the light of love in our hearts, until it simply melted back into light and was gone. Poof! The utter simplicity and magic of healing. But what completely astonished me afterwards was to watch the spirit world methodically clean up all reflections of recently-healed beliefs in my own and my fellow students’ outer circumstances. I was literally astounded to see living proof that inner does in fact create everyone’s outer world and how easily these outer ‘realities’ could be changed with inner healing work. That time in my life was extremely painful, and realizing I could change my outer misery by healing myself within drew me to my path as nothing else could.

Little did I know that it would take so long, that those past life beliefs would quickly change into beliefs from my clients’ or my own descent through seven heavens, down from the Creator Sun, the highest world, to earth, the very lowest. Over all these years, though, my own and my clients’ worlds have cleared of difficulty, slowly, piece by piece, spirit guides carefully cleaning up outer fear reflections after every single inner healing. Our dreams have grown bigger, too, more and more aligned with Love and the will of heaven. My very biggest dream is this; that everyone everywhere across the planet will learn to heal their own inner fears and persist on a path of transformation just like mine, because all of us together create what happens on the global stage. I know in the depths of my being that humanity can, and someday will, heal every fear-based outer creation there is. And the spirit world will devotedly take away all the dark reflections that ever were; greed, poverty, corruption, murder, rape, war, insanity, illnesses of all kinds, and on and on. Earth will become the reflection of the highest heaven she was always meant to be, Paradise, a land of true-love partners living in beloved communities, all in service to the One Beloveds, Goddess and God. Does this sound too far-fetched to be real? I know it’s possible, that it’s not so very far away, either, despite the major troubles which surround us all right now. THIS is the true power of ‘Inner creates outer.’ This knowing is the most important one there is (well, except for “Your heart is bigger than any darkness,’ perhaps, the only other phrase they’ve repeated over the years, whenever I’m tempted to close my heart down instead of embracing some seriously disgusting or horrific fear energy I’m working on long enough to transmute it back into love.) Inner creates outer! I want to shout it from the rooftops sometimes, so everyone will understand and turn inward to begin this magical process. (Now that would surprise my neighbors, if their reclusive, meditative, druid lady began hollering from the shingles! But I AM tempted at times, I must admit!)

There is another important piece I want to add here. For in the druid courses and ceremonies I’ve studied or attended, this knowing is completely absent. And it disappoints me every time. There are 16 light structures in that seventh heaven, which I was taught in thorough and prolonged detail on my path up through them. The highest light structure is the Creator Sun, home of God/Goddess and the place every one of us was originally created from. It is this sun which creates the inner worlds, those many planes of light we are all ascending, plus every being’s inner spirit or personality. Every person’s personality is made up of twelve basic parts, each a reflection of one of the gods or goddesses in the Creator Sun (Goddess, God, divine infant girl and boy, father of the mind, mother of the mind, virgin girl, virgin boy, father of action, mother of action, little girl and boy). So, everyone’s inner spirit has these same basic divisions, each part with very specific directives and regencies in every life. For instance, if a person is at work earning a livelihood, his or her inner father is lit up, for that’s what the father part of the spirit is responsible for, regardless of which outer type of body that spirit may be inhabiting.) And it’s through these inner levels that all creativity is born and flows forth. The inner spirit is also the Source of both Love and healing, for those powerful regents of the Creator Sun flow through each and every one of us. And the spirit is highly, highly creative! It’s the diamond spark in the very core of each heart that creates all individual love and fear beliefs into our own little worlds (and to a lesser degree, what occurs across the planet). Inner creates outer! Two light structures below the Creator Sun is the Stillpoint Center, which looks like an eye. This light structure takes the directives of the Creator Sun and creates them into the outer worlds across the cosmos. So, it’s primarily focused on the outer world. The Four Directions circle of gods and goddesses is the central core of the Stillpoint Center, surrounded by the circle of Zodiac Elders. And between those two circles are the three great rays of aspect, which split the four basic spirit divisions of inner mother, father, girl, and boy into twelve, i.e. the Zodiac regents. These rays of aspect are the three descending rays that many druids revere. And all of these are in the Stillpoint Center, with its focus on the outer world. The inner spirit regents with their creative power are totally missed here! Inner creates outer! The origin and flow for everything there is streams down from the Creator Sun into the small central eye of the Stillpoint Center, and all those SC regents are in full service to it. Period. (See the first book of my trilogy, Alba Reborn, the Revised version, for a complete discussion of the regents of the Creator Sun and Stillpoint Center)

The eight high holy days of the druid year are also portals during which the inner spirits of everyone across the cosmos opens each year as follows: Christmas dawn/divine infants, both girl and boy; Imbolc, little girl; Vernal Equinox, little boy; Bealtain, virgin girl; Midsummer, virgin boy; Lughnasa, mother (action); Autumnal Equinox, father (action); Samhein, grandmother (elder mother of the mind), Midwinter (elder father of the mind). And following those holy days, we each have six weeks of growth of that particular part of our spirits every year. But again, in the ceremonies I’ve attended and the courses I began, these spirit openings and inner connections are completely missing. I must say this bothers me greatly! Greatly! (Though I definitely do NOT want to get into a big conflict with any other groups here and am not trying to say I am better than anyone at all. I just think this point needs to be made.)

How do I know all this?, you may ask.I simply sat and felt the living spirit of those holy days. And all the 20 years of reading and research I did before that only left me more confused than when I began, too many gaping holes, and even more distortions. Druidry is a Goddess path. It’s Her spiritual stream on earth. And She wants us to connect in the now with the living breathing power of spirit. Sit down, for goodness sake, clear your mind, and open your heart. That’s how I learned everything of value I know. It’s time to open our sense of the inner, to tap into the power and flow of spirit and Creator Love. It’s well past time, if you ask me, for only this will bring forward the healing of the earth and transmute all those shadows into real love at along last. I say, let the days of spirit power and the reign of love that’s been promised from time immemorial begin.

SHA MAMA’S little helper

Shamanic Self-Care Support for Mama

This month’s Subscription Box is from SHA MAMA’s little helper and it is filled with products that have significant features. They are all plant based, from woman owned companies, and contained in eco-friendly packaging. Right off the bat, you know SHA MAMA’s little helper has not come to play!

SHA MAMA’s little helper’s boxes have a few options. There are the Quarter Day Sabbat Boxes. They correspond to and are themed with the seasons. These start at $77.77 each, a quarter. There are Quarter Day ½ Sabbat Boxes. These start at $38.88 each, a quarter. Next they offer a Monthly ritual with a supportive Product. This box starts at $19.99 a month, but if you prepay for a few month’s in advance it becomes cheaper. Lastly, you can order a Monthly ritual, with no products. This cost only $12.99 a month and like the previous subscription if you purchase a few months in advance it is cheaper.

If you look through all the pictures on SHA MAMA’s little helper site you see a punk rock, witchy, woman promising A “self-care box … mindfully curated each quarter for your enjoyment of, and exposure to, rare and helpful plant-based & Woman-made products that support and pamper Mama. As well as High-Vibe Manifestation, Magick and High-Holiday Celebration tools!” Her smile is infectious and that sounds so awesome!!! I want this in my life. I am sooo stoked to open this box!

Box Arrival!!

I was assuming that since it was coming in a recycled, earth friendly package that it was going to look dull. Boy was I wrong! Though it looks like my mailman had a nice time of trying to get in to it himself, you can still see the adorable detail of the zipper on the topsides of the box where you are to cut the paper tape in order to open it… And can we talk about that fuschia?!?! The perfect color pop. The tape around the sides states that it was “thoughtfully packaged with eco-friendly shipping supplies,” and “Please reuse, repurpose, recycle me!” This packaging is anything but dull.

First Peek

After finally convincing myself to cut into the cute zippers, I get my first peek inside the box and am equally transfixed by the contrast of colors on the inside. So far, this box has been in, 2 different ways, a feast for the eyes.

Let’s see what we have here…

The Information Card

The first thing you should look for is this glossy postcard in your box. It gives you a link to visit that has a written piece from the owner about her ideas behind The Box all the information on the products in your box, as well as a video from Miré Molnar, the owner, discussing the box! She unboxes the box herself for you and discusses each item with you. Very impressive!!

That was the pink side of the postcard. On the other side you will find information about SHA MAMA RISING, which is the main site that offers these Subscription Boxes. Here you will find information on all the services they offer: childbirth education classes, birth talismans, & crystals+breastmilk jewelry.

Now to the contents…are they as impressive?

2 Items from Zen and Meow

I was sooooo excited to see these two items from Zen and Meow. If you said Zen and Who then you better go back and read this – Wood Crystal Grid Review & Interview with Kelly Matthews from Zen and Meow, where Retha Lent wrote, and I quote “If you are looking for top quality wooden grids check out Zen and Meow!” Oh, and as Miré Molnar mentions, Zen and Meow is Woman Owned.

Wooden Crystal Grid

Just shy of 3”, top to bottom, left to right, this is the best little grid I have seen. The quality of this tiny grid is amazing. I wish I had a good enough camera or video equipment to show you the detailing of the pentacle or the beautiful burnishing on the side. If you could feel the smoothness of it. Not a single little wood bit sticking up to splinter. The depth of the carving is perfection. The interlocking arms and extra point tips give it that extra touch. You can take this tiny treasure anywhere or use it at home. Good on any size altar. In any size home or small apartment. Even, to hide!

Engraved Seed of Life Palo Santo Stick

Also, from Zen and Meow, included in the SHA MAMA’s little helper’s box was an Engraved Seed of Life Palo Santo Stick. When burned Palo Santo acts as a smudging agent to cleanse an area or person. It keeps energies grounded and clear. Its scent provides upliftment that raises your vibration in preparation for meditation. Palo Santo is traditionally used for relieving common colds, flu symptoms, stress, asthma, headaches, anxiety, depression, inflammation, emotional pain and more. It is a very useful wood. It smells very fresh with hints of mint & citrus. It’s native to the coast of South America and it’s name translates to Holy Wood. It’s used by everyone from Shamans to saints. The one included in our box is gorgeous! I am just going to keep it as is.

Handmade Beeswax Black Candle with Handmade Tree-branch Candle Holder

The first thought is how perfect the size is for after the beeswax candle when I use my chimes. Then, how beautiful the tree branch will look in time when wax has melted down it. How powerful this little branch will be. How it will resonate with all my intentions. Then I think, wow, I have taken these simple, beautiful objects and turned them into this massive magickal object before I have even found out what it is for! Let’s look…

Oh Ms. Miré you have put your full self and intention into what you have created and put in your box because it has come through loud and clear! WOW, now that is powerful magick!

Coarse Himalayan Salt & Frankincense with Coal

Himalayan Salt, also, know as Pink Halite, is a crystal and is edible. Salt is used for protection and protection from evil. It is often used in & around homes. It is also used for purification, cleansing, and dispelling negativity in many religions rituals throughout the world. Himalayan Salt has many more attributes, as well, making it a great resource to have.

Frankincense resin is burned to create scared, purified spaces. It is very powerful and many use it mixed in with their other herbs to boost their magick. It is also associated with good fortune business wise. Frankincense is great to burn while doing energy work, meditating, or working with your chakras.

They are tall, 4” approx., glass vials, of nice chunks of each. Plus the charcoal to burn the frankincense on. I think a generous amount is given of each. Beautiful in the bottles and came wrapped nicely in beautiful tissue paper. I’m a sucker for cork topped bottles.

New Moon & Full Moon Aromatherapy Oils

Made by Binford’s Natural Remedies, which is a woman owned company that handcrafts all its merchandise and “follows the cycles and rhythms of nature to create all of its products.” They are from their Sacred Altar collection. The ingredients are not written on the bottle and I can not find them on the site, however, you can CLEARLY see the flowers and crystals in the bottle.

Each bottle states what each is intended for. The New Moon oil says it is to be used to cleanse & make your intentions clear. The Full Moon oil if for release so you can receive.

Each bottle also has the web address on it. The type on the bottles needs to be bolder. It already is fading and I will need to use a marker to write what they are on them. That is not important enough though. Let’s see how they smell.

New Moon is a gorgeous flowery scent. Not the over powering scent of flowers that is overbearing and makes you sneeze and bites your nose. But a deep, maybe heady flower, you can feel it’s petals. Don’t mistake this for a smell that is too powerful. It blends in and fades to just the right amount of aroma on the skin.

Full Moon is a sweeter smell. Hints of a powdery scent. A lighter smell you may think, but if you put each on a wrist and take turns smelling them, you will find it is not, it is just different. They are each very powerful! Gorgeous!! I have not smelled blends like these before. Usually you smell the regular lavenders & sages, but not here!

Each comes in a glass, roll on vial. Easy to use. You should rub the oil in for better effect. A little goes a long way. You really don’t need to roll on a lot. You can dab a bit and blend that in.

Resin Magick Skull

At first when I saw the skull I was intrigued. I wasn’t sure what it was. I like skulls though. Plus, it had glitter! I have been seeing them or something like them for sale on Instagram. So I was very curious. It’s a handmade resin skull cast by SHA MAMA RISING owner Miré Molnar. Inside she has placed items, such as; human bones, ashes, blood, placenta, crystals, flowers, and glitter then magickally charged it. How is that for something unique for your altar! I can see a ton of stuff in mine, but I am not sure what it all is. I see herbs, maybe a bone? What would placenta look like? Gosh it’s lovely. Mine came with purple glitter, and purple is my favorite color! Blessed.

Witch Elixir

Created by the website: The Jess Rose. One of her Flower & Gem collection she doesn’t even carry on her site. Created during the 2017 Lion’s Gate, Full moon eclipse, matured over 13 moons. It comes with a card from the owner explaining how to use the elixir, it’s ingredients, and how to store.

What this elixir has in it is a mixture of Flowers: morning glory, iris; Gems: unakite, labradorite; and many more then I just mentioned than the two for each. And they are in a solution of spring water, organic vegetable glycerine and organic vodka less than 4%. You can not see any of the flowers or gems in the bottle. It is all liquid. It comes in the glass bottle with a dropper you are to keep clean and clear from any touching as per instructions on how to keep the bottle from contamination.

What the elixir is for is that the “essences nourish the subtle bodies, auric fields and energy systems.” It is supposedly gentle.

The note that comes with the bottle is wonderfully done. The artwork on it so nice you want to save it and frame it. On the backside it is sealed with wax. Fancy touch! The bottle itself is adorned with a key charm tied around the neck with some black cording. You can keep this and use it as a necklace. Adorable. As for the taste it was yummy to me. I did have a bit of coffee before. I could still taste it. Sweet. I followed the instructions and didn’t let the dropper touch my mouth or tongue. I have stored it properly in a cool area this entire time. It is supposed to work on the support and growth of our inner witch. Grow little witch GROW!!!

I don’t know if a product like this is necessary, but it doesn’t hurt. I can not tell you if it helps yet or what it does, if anything.

The shop is woman owned!

My Over All Impression…

WOW, SHA MAMA’s little helper is dead serious about her Subscription Box, it’s contents, and it’s packaging. Her packaging is wonderful and %100 recycled materials. The products inside are not inexpensive & are not junk! SHA MAMA’s little helper is serious about giving you a true magickal experience when pampering you. The Bindfords All Natural is amazing stuff. Maybe my favorite items in this box. I can say one of the top best smelling oils of all times. You do need to remember a little goes a long way and that you have to rub the oil in, but it is worth it. A definite must have. My second favorite from SHA MAMA’s little helper is the Black Bee’s Wax Candle & Candle Holder. Genius. Handmade by Miré Molnar the boxes creator. It sparked my imagination. I could see it in the future. I saw what her intentions were for us! The magick in those objects is so powerful. It is just so simple, yet so stunning. Let’s not forget the Crystal Grid for Zen and Meow!!!! Such a quality company. I almost forgot, everything is by women owned companies, as well. Inspiring!

This box just screams magickal inspiration! It’s a MUST HAVE!! I can not express it enough!

The Interview

Miré Molnar creator of SHA MAMA’s little helper subscription boxes was nice enough to grant us a wonderful interview.

PaganPagesOrg (PP): What brought the idea of your box to you?

Miré Molnar (MM): I started thinking a lot about the importance of self care after my baby was born. So much of my energy was flowing out to my child – but that energy came from somewhere… It came from inside of me. So I thought a lot about what fueled my life-force energy and what I needed to do to keep my cup full given that I didn’t have the same freedom I’d had pre-baby (to say, go to the Korean spa or get body work etc.). I began to find and use really cool products that became part my daily self care ritual. Products that supported my body, subtle body, my hormones and my bliss. I began using CBD often and jokingly called it Mama’s Little Helper (I’m also a Stone’s fan). I started to call all my little herbal/witchy/beauty products Mama’s Little Helpers because they really helped me feel balanced through any given day of motherhood. Women and mothers in US culture typically seem very comfortable with giving but then are not that great at receiving. Motherhood will knock you on your ass if you don’t take care of yourself but supporting women is just not where our culture likes to point it’s attention. I see a lot of moms really struggle with this. I decided I needed to offer a subscription box to support other women/mamas self care practices and be a voice to help flood the conversation with the message that self-care is not just ok but that it is imperative.

PP: How did you begin them?

MM:I first started last January with a monthly Crystal Creator box on my jewelry shop www.talismama.life that focused a lot on manifestation. It was expensive and it included a really high grade CBD oil, a Law of Attraction planner and various tinctures, body oils and hand-made witchy goodies etc. and each month I would post a ritual or something similar that connected with what was happening energetically with the cosmos and the planet.

PP: How do you choose what to include inside your boxes?

MM:I find a lot of great woman/mama owned brands on Instagram and Etsy. But also people and products find me.

PP: Is yours a recurring monthly box?

MM:I stopped doing a full monthly self care box because the price point was high and I think the amount of products became overwhelming too. So now I offer a Quarterly full and half self-care box and then I offer a monthly ritual that can be purchased with one supportive product or not.

PP: Are you Pagan?

MM:I think that that’s the best word to describe my spiritual beliefs. I find a lot of spiritual paths interesting and I participate in all kinds of things from Thelema to Wicca to Yoga. I like to have the freedom to make my own shit up so Paganism feels the least constricting. I like being in rhythm with the earth and find that ultimately that that is where my spiritual focus feels most comfortable – with mother nature

PP: What types of interests do you have?

MM: I’m a graphic designer, I work at a Sudbury Valley style Democratic Free school, I am an environmentalist, a feminist, civil rights activist and an artist. I love to dance, smoke Mary Jane and be creative. I was very involved in the indie rock music scene of the 90’s and early 00’s, have been in many bands and love Rock N’ Roll! I love getting high on my third eye and I love witchy, hippy, cosmic shit!

PP: Did you feel the pagan world was missing something to make you create your Box?

MM:That’s a great question. Actually I’ve been pretty impressed with what’s available out on Instagram especially when it comes to other woman-made, legit magickal offerings. I do notice a lot of made-in-china Witchy/Pagan boxes and wanted to be another offering (of the small but growing handful) that really focuses on women’s magick (such as: herbalism, potion-making, candle-making, soap-making, kitchen-witching) and includes products made with a lot of high-vibe juju. If we’re really out to make magick then intention is a huge part of that and every component that goes into a product is incredibly important. Making sure that the products I feature use natural ingredients, are made with consciousness and support other women entrepreneurs is very important to me and I hope it’s what makes my boxes stand out in the long run.

PP: Tell us about you, your life, what we may not know!

MM: I am the daughter of Chantal Molnar, the amazing priestess behind The Milky Way Movie, and feel that my calling is aligned with my mother’s and that I am here to support the empowerment of all women. I make crystal power-jewelry with my father and have created the brand Sha Mama Rising that includes our TalisMama jewelry shop and my Little Helper subscription boxes. I have a 3year old daughter and a wonderful partner and we live in Southern California.

PP: May we have links to your sites that sell other types of products?

MM: Yes a few… You can go direct to the subscription boxes here: http://sha-mama-rising.cratejoy.com or you can find the boxes through my other sites: www.shamamarising.com and www.talismama.life

Thank you so much Miré Molnar for creating such a wonderful Product & for taking the time to talk with us and our readers. I can definitely say that I totally stand behind this Subscription Box and it is totally Worth the Witch!!

Book Review – The Moving Universe: A Spiritual and Mundane Perspective on the Transits by Joseph Polansky

April, 2019

Book Review
The Moving Universe
A Spiritual and Mundane Perspective on the Transits
by Joseph Polansky

Joseph Polansky has written annual horoscope books for each zodiac sign for a number of years. You know the ones I mean – they are the 365 day version of your daily newspaper horoscope. These are “mundane” forecasts that we scan each morning; they tell us of impending success, romance, or to be careful out there!

A Moving Universe: A Spiritual and Mundane Perspective on the Transits is a different breed of astrology book from the year in prediction books. Mr. Polansky addresses the impact of planetary energies as they move through, or “transit,” an individual’s birth chart or solar return chart – where the current planets are on your birthday. The chart of the planets’ positions at the moment of your birth is a permanent picture memorialized in your birth chart. But, the planets keep moving! And depending on the timing of their movement around the Sun, they will form angles to their position in your birth chart as they move and to the position of the other celestial bodies in the chart as well. You may be familiar with a “Saturn return,” for example. When you are approximately 28 years old, Saturn has moved through the entire wheel of the horoscope and returns to its place at the moment you were born. That position presages a coming of age and a maturation process, possibly a series of challenges that initiate a person into adulthood. As Saturn moves through the entire wheel of the natal horoscope chart over the course of 28 years, it forms angles to every other planet’s natal position, including its own! And every other planet does the same thing, moving at its own speed, from fast Mercury to SLOOOOW Pluto, who takes 245 years to orbit the sun. You will not have a Pluto return!

As they pass over or across from the other planets in the natal chart, transiting planets impart a tone or influence to the affairs of life and energies of the planets contacted. The specific degree of separation of one planet from another, or angle of contact, carries a particular energy. Trines (120°) and sextiles (60°) are considered “easier” than squares (90°) for example. As we can have multiple transits happening at the same time, it is like peeling an onion to get through the layers to interpret what’s happening!

Mr. Polansky has provided a great resource for the student of astrology in this volume. He explores what he calls the major angular aspects: conjunctions (planets at the same place); oppositions (planets 180° apart, opposite each other); squares, trines and sextiles. I would have liked to read his assessments of quincunxes and septiles as well; in my astrological training, I learned that these aspects can point us in the direction of the karmas and patterns we most need to address. Nonetheless, Mr. Polansky has explored each of the angles listed for every planetary combination – over 300 pages of reference materials that is pure gold for both the neophyte and the experienced astrologer.

What makes this book so valuable as a resource are Mr. Polansky’s discussions of both the mundane and the spiritual meanings of each transit. He examines what is likely to be happening in the outer life of the person undergoing the transit, and then he addresses what that transit may be bringing on the level of interior lessons and challenges. He is quick to remind us that we must factor in the many elements present in a birth chart to truly understand the impact of a transiting planet!

This book is a great addition to your bookshelf if you are interested in exploring the multi-dimensional meanings of transits in depth. I have added it to my reference library and will be using it many times!

Book Review – Making Magic by Brianna Saussy

Making Magic
Weaving Together the Everyday and the Extraordinary
by Brianna Saussy

With an eye made quiet by the power
Of harmony, and the deep power of joy,
we see into the life of things”
-William Wordsworth-

This quote was a beautiful entry into a book that entices the reader to look more deeply at everything that surrounds them and recognize the potential for the magick held in every moment, in every experience and every interaction. Fourteen (14) Chapters are packed jam full with info, ideas and ritual to implement the focus. The prelude sets the tone of what we can expect…

…”Somewhere in the world right now there are people from every conceivable culture, walk of life, and set of experiences who all have one thing in common: they have remembered they are making magic. Are you ready to make it too?”…” We all have a deep capacity to make magic and to do it as easily as we breathe or open our eyes”…

I appreciate the freshness and candor of this introduction and its gentle demystifying of something many consider to mysterious, unreachable and requiring everything, yet not recognizing the single and only key ingredient-us! The Introduction ends with a familiar tale infused with magic and a promise. It’s entitled “Golden Locks and the Bear People”-go figure.

Chapter One prepares the reader to begin a journey of “Remember(ing) Your Magic”, and the call to return to the place of knowing and integrated wisdom that allowed a wild and natural magic to flow. Ms. Saussy uses the analogy of a wild animal. The experiences it endures and how it finds way to survive in a world that is not always welcoming…. “Magic moves through the wilderness of the soul soil of everyday life and experience”. Emphasis is placed on looking and listening to gather evidence and reveal the clues that as the author states will bring us back to making magic. The standard encouragement of journaling is part of the work here, always being the staple resource for any seeker knowledge of the sacred arts.

Two rituals are provided in each chapter as a way to deepen your practice and there is also the thoughtful addition of “Stepping Stones” that supports a more time-friendly alternative to keep the magic going. According to Ms. Saussy….Across time and culture the seeker’s journey is understood to be a spiral path…an apt description of the experience that our souls undergo in the search for truth and beauty … the experience of a growing wisdom, in consciousness, we never lose sight of the beginning, our starting point.”…

I love that this book was organized in a way that it holds the necessary theory required for a good foundation of building a magical practice, albeit, not in the usual set of semantics that prod the reader to think in only one way about what magic is and who uses it. The author clearly has an understanding based in a diverse practice of esoteric wisdom that spans cultures and beliefs beyond the Hermetic practitioner. This makes the material that much more useful and accessible by everyone.

Titles such as: Memory and Imagination (visualization); Finding the Doors (home protection/warding); Taking Your Time (time magic); Kith and Kin (ancestor magic) and more piqued the interest in exploring the magic of these crafts more deeply. The final chapter, entitled: Weaving the Worlds Back Together was a beautiful ending to this book. The weaving together of all of the experiences had in the preceding chapters is the guiding force of the ending. Remember that spiral that was spoken of in the beginning? Now, the reader is drawn to return to the beginning and acknowledge all that has come into their memory of their magic and in that weaving, something new is created. Wild, free and finally in tune with the magic of the world….

…” We move from seeking magic to finding it, from remembering it to making it and as the worlds are woven together, living it”…

In conclusion, the “Notes” section boasts a bibliography, organized by chapter, which provides the reader with lots of additional resources to continue the exploration and support coming into our natural gifts.

Making Magic” is a wonderful introduction to what magic can be in its simplicity and beauty. Often the statement is made that living a spiritual/magical life is a 24/7-365 endeavor. This book leads the reader into that space where magic and the mundane are fueled and informed by the other.

Going Shamanic Radio

April, 2019

Going Shamanic” is hosted by Jennifer Engracio on P.A.G.E. Media Project’s blogtalk radio each month. The show focuses on how to integrate shamanism into every day life. Instead of relegating the spiritual aspect of ourselves to Sundays at church or weekend workshops, this show will support listeners in weaving ritual, prayer, magic, alignment with the Spiritworld and the Earth into their lives to enrich their experience of living.

This Month’s Topic: Interspecies Communication

This episode, we explore Interspecies Communication with Val Majeau from Sacred Paws.

How can we learn to communicate with animals?

What can they teach us about living?

How can they help us heal?

This conversation will bring up some age old questions about the ‘feelings’ and sensitivities of animals.  Val Majeau is the owner of Sacred Paws, a business she runs from the Calgary, Alberta area of the world.  Sacred Paws is a mobile service, devoted to all animals. Animals suffer from physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues just as we do. They are sensitive to human moods and changes in their environment.  Val also helps humans to understand their animals’ needs better.

The table of contents lists the names of spells for fast reference. Types of spells in this book are candle spells, crystal and gemstone spells, pendulum magic, plant spells, and visual spells.

One surprise this book features is recipes. There are recipes for teas and other drinks as well as salads, seafood dishes and desserts. By combining spices and other ingredients with some of the favorite foods of Venus, Fruit of the Goddess pie could be served at your next gathering. As you create this delectable dessert, be sure to recite the following “Sweeten our love, With blessings from above”. Nothing shares the love quite like a homemade pie.

Kate Howe, The CT Medium, Offers Messages from Beyond the Veil

April, 2019

There’s nothing spooky or eerie about the group reading, but then, I’ve gone to these before, and, full disclosure, I’m a witch – I scare people, I don’t scare easily.

The room has a sense of softness to it, with cotton-ball clouds hanging from the ceiling, tulle covering overhead fluorescent fixtures, fairy lights and sheer curtains hanging in the windows, and angels – sometimes just their wings – everywhere. A cross hangs on one wall, a colorful picture titled “Chakra” on another. In one corner is an ancestor altar.

Although Kate Howe had arranged two rows of chairs at the far end of the room for a two-hour Heavenly Connections Gallery Event, we seven women who showed up settled into the cozy fabric furniture nearer the door, supplemented with relocated folding chairs.

Howe smudged the space, swirling a smoldering bundle of sage around the room and followed that by striking a chime several times, allowing its vibrations to further cleanse the room.

“I do energy work as I talk to you, FYI, so you might leave here with a headache, you might leave here feeling really tired. It’s because I’m moving some energy around as I connect with you,” Howe said.

“I am a medium – from the day I was born. My mother would always pull out the medium in me as a child. Everybody else thought I was weird. I would talk to trees; I would talk to imaginary friends; I would speak in different dialects and my mother always nurtured that in me. My mother always said, ‘Oh, it’s just Kate talking to her angels.’ And my dad, who was very much on the other side of his brain, is, ‘You can’t tell her that.’ As a businessman, he says, ‘You can’t tell her that’s OK. People are going to think she’s crazy,’” she said as she seemed to tower above us seated in something of a circle with a wide opening for her to move about, in and out as she pleased.

“When I was 21, my mother passed away from lymphoma, and I was in a very difficult place, spiritually. I didn’t know what it meant to lose a parent. I didn’t know what it meant to lose anybody … and it being my mom really tripped up my emotions, my mind, my anger, my sadness.

“She came clearly to me one day in her garden. I was … so upset she was gone, I got down on my knees and I screamed at the top of my lungs, ‘Why did you go?’ And I clearly felt her stand right in front of me and she said, ‘You may never know the answer to that question, but please know your pain can be channeled in a different way than falling to your knees and screaming.’

“And I said, ‘Well that’s what I want to do.’ She said, ‘You absolutely have the right to do that, but I also know your pain can be channeled into something beautiful, too.’ I said, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.’ She said, ‘Give me time.’

“So I ended up going to a medium named Patti Sinclair. She’s out of Norfolk, Connecticut. I was supposed to see a shaman that day, because before my mother died, my mother set my dad up with a spiritual adviser to help him get through her passing. So he went to this person a few times and he’s like, ‘Kate, I really think you could use some of this guy’s healing. He really seems to help.’ I’m like, ‘OK, whatever.’”

Instead of the shaman, Sinclair was there. Howe and her father came without knowing there was a change, and decided to meet with her instead.

“She looked right at me as we walked in and said, ‘Your mother has sent me here to be your spiritual mother here on earth,’” Howe said, adding that Sinclair became her mentor “and helped me understand what I’d been getting my whole life.”

Explaining how she works, Howe said, “Every healer brings their messages a little bit differently. I am a little disorganized in the way I go, so just bear with me. There are times where I’m halfway through something and I’m on to something else. They tend to talk to me through a lot of numbers, through a lot of symbols. Symbolism is huge as a medium because that’s how you talk. A lot of people think you just have a conversation. … It’s not like that. It’s like, ‘You need to tell my daughter that I’m going to be with her in that courtroom.’ Except it isn’t words. It’s a vibration, a symbol. They might show me the courthouse. They show me my female symbol in that courthouse. And then they’ll go, ‘Oh, it’s the daughter, not the mother.’ So they show me a lot of different ways to get that one message, but it’s not necessarily through words. And so keep your mind open as I’m trying to connect.”

With that, she closed her eyes for a moment, one arm across her midsection, the other touching her chin. Then approached one of the women and said, “Who’s the M initial? It’s either Martha, Marie, Mary, Mark. Might be somebody down here, might be someone in heaven. I just feel there’s an M who is really trying to step forward for you.”

Michael was this woman’s grandfather.

Howe noted he would be bringing in everyone else’s energy, then asked, “Is there a Robert, Randy, Rebecca who’s connected to you?”

Robert was her brother.

Talking quickly, sometimes using her hands, she described the images she was seeing.

“What’s the connection to the number two for you? This could be the month of February. This could be the second of the month. It could be two children. I’m just seeing two all over you.”

The number was significant with her brother’s birth and passing.

“He’s stepping forward. What’s the connection to Florida for you? For him? Who’s down there right now? Who’s going down there?,” Howe fired off in rapid succession.

“It’s where he just came back from,” the woman acknowledged.

Howe shared some information and then asked, “Did he have a dog?”

Tears formed as she replied, “I’m going to get the dog.”

After explaining the connection between her brother and the dog, Howe asked, “Who’s the teacher in the family who does something at the school?”

There was no such connection.

“Any connection to California? To Morgan? No, that’s all right. I’m seeing the teacher symbol pop up. I’m trying to figure out why so many rulers are popping up.”

“Who’s Frank? Francis? The number 6? The month of June?”

“Frank was his best friend.”

“Why is he showing me lots of mysteries around his passing? Why are there question marks?”

“Because there are lots of questions,” the woman replied. “He came back to us from Florida. He had been sick.”

After providing some spiritual counseling, Howe asked, “Is somebody named after their dad? Named after their grandfather? This is a male. Does this make sense for anyone? No? Why am I seeing that? Somebody play the piano or do something with keys?”

Getting no response, she said, “OK, I’m going to let that go back up.” After making more connections and dispensing more bits of information, Howe circled back, saying, “Someone is talking about your son right now. I’m really stuck on this namesake right now.”

Turns out it was not the woman she was facing, but the woman in the corner whose brother was named after his father and whose son was named after her husband.

An obituary, a mother-in-law who just passed, cupcakes signaling a celebration and being a control freak were among the subjects that surfaced as Howe described the images she saw, often thanking those who sent them.

“Do you have a dog that just crossed,” she asked a woman.

“My god,” came the reply. It was a 13-year-old Great Dane.

“Who’s G?”

“Gigi is what my boys used to call my grandmother.”

“What’s the Jeep connection to you?”

“I’ve always wanted one.”

Some images appear to connect with no one.

“I’m just seeing it. I was always told to say what I see,” Howe said, moving on with, “Was someone blind at the end of their life and could not see? Something with the eye not working?”

It was a father who had side effects from medications following a kidney transplant.

Questions, responses and information flowed.

“Why is someone showing me frogs all over the place? Is there any connection to either New York or Broadway?”

“Jesus! My youngest son is convinced he’s going to be on Broadway and he’s going to be a big star. He’s 13 right now,” one woman said.

“So, just know that the other side might be laughing with you … but anything can happen. It’s just important to know that the other side sees little things that are happening in our life, big things that are happening in our life,” Howe said.

Cautioning attendees that when someone who’s crossed weighs in on a subject, it’s important to know it’s merely their opinion, she continued with, “I’m still on the teacher thing. I feel like someone is inside the school.”

From the other side of the room a woman spoke up, “I’m a teacher.”

Turning around, Howe asked her, “Who passed very young? A young soul is standing very near you. Is there a T name?”

When the answer was no, she said, “That’s all right. I’m just seeing this little person here.”

A woman to the left said, “Teresa is my twin and she lost a child.”

“I’m just in the wrong area,” Howe said.

“Was this baby a boy?”

The answer was affirmative, leading Howe to share a piece of her life.

“I lost a child at six months pregnant, and I know for a fact there’s a reason that she showed up. I know it. I don’t try to find the answers. Some days it feels like it might be coming a little closer, but I find the beauty around the situation and around the experience. One thing I learned is it brought my husband and I closer in a way that never would have bonded us had this not happened. … There’s always a silver lining. I feel like she may need to hear that.”

The “scheduler” turned out to be a nurse. A grandmother who indicated she died of a stroke wanted her granddaughter to know she sends a red cardinal every day as a sign. The session continues. Howe is compassionate and kind. For the most part, everyone remains silent but keenly attuned. Someone understood the bubble wrap reference, but no one claimed the “Price is Right” connection.

“Does your grandmother have a child up there with her now? [‘Yes.’] They’re both coming in together. Do you go to a cemetery often? I feel like I’m seeing cemeteries,” Howe asked a woman.

“I just stopped by my grandmother’s cemetery. I was just driving by and realized ‘this is her cemetery,’” said the woman, adding that she stopped to pay her respects.

“She sees that you went. Is there any connection to St. Patrick’s Day?”

“St. Patrick’s is her cemetery.”

Hearing that, I felt prickles of energy touching my skin– something that happened several times that night.

Then Howe turned to me.

“Is your mom in spirit?”

She is.

“Did you take care of her?”

I didn’t think I did much at all, and I certainly wasn’t there as often as I wish I had been.

“Do you have a sister who’s here?”

“Who’s N?”

My daughter, Natasha.

“Who’s like the Irish twins? Whose birthdays fall right on top of each other?”

My sister and I were born on the same day two years apart.

She told me twos and hawks that sometimes swoop very close to my car are both symbols from my mother. I see both often. Howe correctly noted I was channeling fear when it came to my freedom – it’s a long story – and that the umbrella was a significant symbol for me.

“I feel like it’s important for you to know that mom is acknowledging that this is the right time,” Howe said, adding my mother is glad I stopped saying, “one more year” before retiring.

“Are you and your sister going on a big trip? … I feel like you need to get up and out.”

My sister is packing to move to a new home 125 miles away at the same time I’m packing to move 175 miles before becoming a wandering witch on wheels in an old bus converted to an RV.

“There’s a male standing next to her. Does she have a brother who’s with her? I feel like there’s a very, very strong male energy standing next to her.”

Not until I transcribed my recording of the session did I remember my mother had a much older half brother who died when I was very young.

“Do you connect with Archangel Michael? Do you talk with him often?”

Yes and not lately.

“I feel like he might be sending you a lot of symbols about your next steps, about what to do next. … Any connection to Vermont or New Hampshire?”

I’m moving to New Hampshire.

Assuring me I’ll find the higher altitude to be energetically quieter, Howe went on to tell me the lion and the cheetah are both going to be my power animals to help me be fierce and learn to rule in my world.

“Is there a brook or a little creek or something that’s very close to this house or somewhere you go often?”

There’s a brook in front of my parking space at the condo, and another on the farm where I will soon be living.

After some advice to rekindle a practice I had let fall along the wayside some years ago, she asked me who I knew who was obsessed with some old cars – my ex – and that something was leaking in my house.

“I’m seeing drop … drop.”

It’s my bathtub. It’s been dripping for more than a year.

The evening continued with Howe giving each woman validation through names, events and meaningful messages channeled from loved ones on the other side – confirming their presence in our everyday lives.

When someone was moved to tears, she handed over a box of tissues saying, “It’s part of my job description. I make people cry.”

Among the advice she offered was, “Call in your angels. We forget that we have these beautiful beings that aren’t our grandmothers, or our moms or dads, but these angels who’ve known us our entire soul life, so for thousands of lifetimes that they’ve known us. They’re so underused.”

Howe is passionate about using her abilities to help others. She offers a variety of classes, various types of readings and spiritual life coaching.

“I’m just helping to bridge a connection we all have, helping to put language to it. I like people to leave knowing they don’t have to come to someone like me all the time to get validation that their loved ones are a part of their daily lives because we all have this beautiful connection innately within our souls,” said Howe, a resident of Salem, Connecticut who opened her office in Canton, Connecticut about two years ago.

She urges those who may be experiencing an inner knowingness, mediumship, healing or other form of psychic awareness to acknowledge their gift.

“What’s hard about being an empath,” Howe said, “is sometimes you know things you don’t want to know. So, learning how to deal with those kinds of intuitive hits can be very tricky. The best thing is to just honor that it’s happening and you can ask the other side for a boundary. I do that very often. I walk into crowds at a store or if I’m going out to a movie theater or a concert, before I leave my house I make it very clear to them that I am there for pleasure and that they need to be quiet.

“Your wall isn’t going to stop you from being psychic, it’s just for that moment. … It’s about putting up that boundary and being comfortable enough with your guides and being trusting enough with your guides, that barrier will come back down when you need it to.”

She also suggested calling on Archangel Michael for protection in that kind of situation.

“I feel like a lot of empaths are just aren’t confident in what they get. They might be getting lots of hits and they don’t even know that they’re getting them, or they’re getting them and they’re very confused about what they’re getting,” Howe said.

“Symbolism is so huge in spirit, but it’s different for everybody.”

It requires putting a language to the images, words and feelings you’re getting. To work with your guides to come to build an inventory of symbols.

“That makes you feel less crazy,” she said, adding, “That’s going to be your language to heaven. That’s going to be how you’re going to talk to them.”

Understanding your gift requires having an ongoing conversation with yourself and your guides. Despite what you are seeing or feeling, you need confidence that you’re not making it up, and that you’ll know when to share the information and when to remain silent.

For example, if you get a vision of someone getting into a car accident, it may not mean it happens in the physical world – it may mean the person is headed in the wrong direction and is in for a rude awakening. It may mean the person is crashing energetically.

“There’s a whole lot to just one symbol. That’s why defining your symbols is important, and not being afraid to see them is important.”

Using a skeleton as an example, she said that when she sees one, it means someone has a secret.

Only if she feels guided to will she share information that was not requested.

To develop a relationship with the information you’re being given, to better understand your gift, Howe said, “It’s just a lot of conversations with your guides and your intuition and your symbols.”

The CT Medium is located in Unionville, CT. Heavenly Connections Gallery Events are held the first Friday of the month from 7-9 p.m. For more information visit thectmedium.com or call 860-924-4639.

I have often contemplated my role as a Pagan woman and have recently begun evaluating my life’s journey as I have evolved into each aspect of the Divine Feminine. I continue on my Spiritual Path in search of pure knowledge and understanding while recognizing that my journey will travel through each aspect of the Divine Feminine in its turn and each aspect has a lesson for my soul to embrace in order for my Spiritual evolution to be successful. Since recognizing that I am a Pagan, I have grown to fully know myself in this journey and I have finally come to the realization that my role in the Pagan community is one of deep commitment toward affecting positive change, not only in myself, but in other members of my community as well. I am able to define myself now as a Pagan woman without reservation and with great pride.

At the age of 20, at the very beginning of my Spiritual journey, I nurtured the role of the Maiden. I set out on my path with the same sweet, pure, and virginal characteristics of the Maiden ingrained in my heart. I pondered this aspect for a time and I began to revel in the knowing that the Maiden is not only a physical manifestation in my life. Instead, I realized the duality of the Maiden as She represents the beginning of my Spiritual journey as a Pagan woman. The Maiden embraces in me that which is innocently truthful and wonderfully kind. The Maiden is the aspect of my journey where small seeds of inspiration, tolerance, and respect for all paths are planted and where those seeds await growth and nurturing in the next turn in the road of my journey to the Mother aspect. The Maiden is virginal in Her naïve and innocent perspective, always striving to gain knowledge and understanding, just as I was in the infancy of my Spiritual Path. Upon this realization, I have placed the Maiden in perspective and I can embrace who I am in that role and how I was able to continue to nurture the Maiden as I evolved from Maiden to Mother and how I can reach back in my Path and touch the Maiden for reaffirmation of the seeds that I have already sown.

In my early to mid-thirties I began to realize that my Spiritual evolution had somehow matured. The Maiden, still ever present, was releasing Her hold and allowing me to gravitate to the gentle awaiting arms of the Mother. The Mother aspect called to me and I was beginning to heed Her call. I noticed a small shift in my perceptions as they gravitated from pure innocence to keen awareness of the world around me and its inhabitants. I began to embrace and welcome questions regarding my Spirituality and I realized that sitting in quiet contemplation lends itself to keen personal insight. The Mother, ever nurturing and guiding, emerged in the path before me strong, protective, and filled with inspiration and encouragement. I began to see the seeds of inspiration, tolerance, and respect that I planted as a Maiden come to fruition as the Mother aspect began to emerge within my soul and tend the garden planted by the Maiden. I realized that the presence of the Mother in my Spiritual journey has served to guide me to a place of tolerance, respect, and acceptance of other individuals who travel vastly divergent Spiritual traditions than my own. Despite the differences in Spirituality, the Mother has tempered my insolence and She has given me a new perspective on patience and love. The Mother has shielded me from my own personal turmoil and when I would have otherwise turned from my soul’s work on this journey, the Mother aspect patiently guided my return to the path that I must travel. The Mother aspect has taught me patience and the virtues of allowing my soul to evolve in its own way along my journey. The Mother aspect has helped me to shield the Maiden from the harsh world around me in order to preserve the innocence of that aspect of my soul in order that I may continue to plant seeds of inspiration, tolerance, and respect for my continued travels in the journey ahead of me.

Finally, I am approaching the Crone in my Spiritual path. She awaits me, seemingly dark and foreboding, yet with arms wide open and ready to embrace me as I grow to recognize that which is in my highest and best good. For the completion of my evolution, I long to fully reach the aspect of the Crone and to come full circle in my own journey. I know that it is in this complete turn of the wheel that I will learn the most precious lesson of all; to nurture the Maiden, to love the Mother and to embrace the Crone. In the Crone, I am seeking to find the wisdom to recall the innocence of the Maiden in order that I will always approach others with kindness and tolerance. In the Crone, I am seeking to find the wisdom to recall the nurturing of the Mother in order that I will always be able to defend a newcomer on their Path against the harshness of others. In the Crone, I am seeking to find the wisdom of experience and the temperance of that wisdom for the greater good of all.

The culmination of recognizing, incorporating, and embracing the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone aspects of the Divine Feminine into my life is my soul’s Spiritual journey in its totality. To encompass in my life, as one being, one soul, all three aspects of the Divine Feminine and to recognize that at any given moment I am comprised of all three of these aspects has been my life’s work. The beauty of being a Pagan woman is in recognizing that I am capable of evolving from Maiden to Mother then Crone and at any given moment, I am guided by them all.

Pagan Woman

A sliver of silver in the darkened sky,
Winter is coming, everything must die.
Then growing to fullness and lighting the way,
Hope springs eternal on the Solstice day.

Starting as Maiden, growing from Mother to Crone,
Pagan woman standing proud, strong and alone.
In a cycle of the moon She realizes Her full power,
Skyclad in Her ritual at the midnight hour.

Strong and fierce in Her love of the night,
Yet gentle and loving with all of Her might.
The role that She embraces in a circular universe,
Is a complex Path that only She can traverse.

Birthing children and tending fields,
Growing abundant crops reaping fertile yields,
She nurtures the masses then calls us home,
Pagan Woman is Maiden, Mother, and Crone.
