Book Review – The Grim Grand Grammarye: Making Sense of The PGM and Joining the Sabbatic Ecstasies by Coemgein Gowdie

Book Review The Grim Grand Grammarye Making Sense of The PGM and Joining the Sabbatic Ecstasies by Coemgein Gowdie 230 Pages Publication Date: 1/14/2021     Published originally on May 5, 2020, this book can be had, conveniently through Amazon’s Kindle as well as paperback through Amazon.com. It is confusing that on one Amazon site, it states the author is Isobel Gowdie, and another lists it as Coemgein Gowdie. Isobel Gowdie was accused of witchcraft and confessed in 1662 in Auldeare, Scotland. Her testimony was used extensively by Margaret Alice Murray, which in turn inspired Gerald Gardner’s Wicca, and scholars consider her vivid testimony of dealings with the devil as…

Book Review Missing Witches Recovering True Histories of Feminist Magic by Risa Dickens and Amy Torok Publisher: North Atlantic Books 312 Pages Publication Date: 3/23/2021     I thoroughly enjoyed reading Missing Witches: Recovering True Histories of Feminist Magic, by Risa Dickens and Amy Torok, published by North Atlantic Books. But I have to laugh … am I so very old? None of these witches were “missing” to me! I had heard of every single one of them, in fact, many years ago. I have books on my shelves by some of these very women! But there’s always room for new books about famous witches and to those growing up…

This one was made for me from an unused child’s craft kit, adding some acrylic paints before baking it.     Typically, you’d use Sharpie or dry erase markers. Cotton swabs, and rubbing alcohol or a dry marker eraser will be needed to remove mistakes. Non-toxic ceramic paint and pens can be used on microwave-safe dishware, making it safe for serving food. Clean your…
