Lets start by giving thanks to these four elements and you can even call them in to help with your cooking today.

I set up a fun little candle altar to give thanks. A candle for each and placed one of the ingredients next to it. Earth I used the veggies, Water I used water, Fire I used pepper and Air I used dumplings. I leave the candles lit until they burn out but if your in a hurry you can do one of the following two things.

One use birthday candles they burn out very fast and you don’t have to worry about snuffing them or two you can simply snuff them out. I don’t like to blow them out so I use a snuffer. Don’t have a snuffer? That’s ok you can use a small cup to snuff it or wet your fingers and pinch it out. I can’t do that OUCH it burns me every time, so snuff snuff or let it burn.

INGREDIENTS

4 Boneless Chicken Breasts, thawed

1 Can (10.5 oz.) Cream of Chicken Soup

1 Can (10.5 oz.) Cream of Celery Soup

4 Tsp. of Chicken Broth Base and Seasoning (or use 2 cups of chicken broth)

2 Cups of Water (if you use broth already made skip the water)

1 Tsp. of Pepper

1/2 Tsp. of salt (add as much as you like)

1 1/2 Tsp. Garlic Powder

1 Frozen Bag (12 oz) Mixed Veggies, thawed

1 Frozen Bag (12 oz) Broccoli, thawed

2 Celery Stalks Chopped

6 oz Frozen Hashbrowns with Onions and Green Peppers thawed

1 Can of Refrigerated Biscuits, cut in half

You may replace the frozen veggies with fresh veggies. I just used frozen ones since most of us already have some in the freezer for a rainy day. For the mixed veggie bag I used peas, corn, carrots and green beans.

Get all your ingredients ready and remember thaw your frozen veggies now.

Add the chicken breasts, salt, pepper, garlic powder, soups and celery now into your crock pot.

Mix the chicken broth base and two cups of water together. Mix really well. You may use already made chicken broth but I really love the flavors of the broth base and seasonings.

Now pour the broth into the crock pot and give it a little stir. Always stir clockwise.

Cover the crock pot hmmm why do we always mention covering the crock pot? Is there really recipes out there that requires the lid off hee hee. I’m curious now. Ok maybe there are a few towards the end to thicken stews and sauces. For this recipe though we keep it covered.

Ok, anyways, cover it and set your timer for 3 hours if you cook it on HIGH or 7 hours if you cook it on LOW.

By now the chicken should be nice and tender. Here comes the fun part. Use two forks and shred it up really well. I use long wooden forks since I’m short and it’s easier to reach so I don’t burn my arm on the sides of the crock pot. One of you reading this must understand the issues of short people hee hee.

Now lets add all those veggies and mix it up really well.

I really don’t like this next step but someone has to do it. POP open that can of biscuits. I swear it’s like an adult jack in the box it scares me every time. So pop it open and cut each biscuit in half. You can just rip it instead of cutting it if you want.

Next add the biscuits on top keeping it in one layer. Its ok if they touch each other.

Cover again and cook 1 more hour on the same setting you used.

The dumplings will be set by now and everything will be steaming hot and delicious.

Serve right away in a bowl and enjoy.

I hope you all enjoy this recipe. Wanna try something different use pork or beef chunks instead of chicken and replace the broth with whatever meat type you used.

About the Author:

Sarah Mascorro AKA Pixie Witch. I’m 45 years young and have been married to my soul mate for 27 plus year. We have 2 boys and live in good ole California. I was actually born in England but came to the states when I was 5.

I’m Pagan/Wiccan and have been practicing over 10 years now. I always knew I was different but didn’t figure it out till 2008, that’s when I came out of the broom closet. I’m a Witch and I’m proud of it. When I say different I mean I just didn’t fit in with what others did or believed in. I’m sure you all totally understand that feeling. Now I know though I’m not different, I’m me and there are so many others like me.

I hold rituals at my house with my circle for each Sabbat and we do a lot of witch crafts together. I love to do all types of crafts not just witchy like I make dream catchers, wood burn, make soaps and bath salts. I love to cross stitch and make latch hook rugs. I have a small page on Facebook that I sell my goodies. You can FIND THEM HERE at Pixiewitchcorner.

I love to cook and bake. My mother was a great cook & I picked up her talent. I love to make my own fun recipes and add some magick to them. I mean cooking is magickal right so why not add a little extra to it. I started a Kitchen Witch Group on Facebook over 4 years ago. If your on FB come check it out.

I love to spend my time with my hubby & boys. We love to be out in nature especially the beach & the forest. I belong in the forest, I guess all pixie’s do hee hee. My friends call me Pixie due to my size I’m 5’1 and barely 100 pounds with really long red and silver hair hee hee.

I collect stones like hag stones, labradorite, amethysts, quartz etc… I also collect witch statues, Goddess statues, owls, crows and the Moon. Oh & sea glass I cant forget that. Do tattoos count? If so I have over a 100 of them I’m about 80% covered.

Another hobby is photography. I love taking pictures of nature such as flowers, animals, trees, mountains, the ocean and my favorite of all the Moon.

I love to unwind two ways one is with a great book, usually witchy or paranormal ones catch my attention the most. I do read & research a lot about the human body and diseases due to my families rare health issues. The other is going outside under the stars and Moon. What a great way to end the day looking up at the dark beautiful sky.

That’s pretty much it, you see what you get hee hee. You either love me or hate me. Hopefully you all will love me haha.
